One day my son said, “MY BAD!” I looked at him and said, “Oh my goodness! What are they teaching him in school? He doesn’t even know proper English!”
Then I overheard someone on one of our children’s television shows say the same thing: “MY BAD!” So I asked my children “What does ‘My Bad’ mean?” They told me it meant that they made a mistake or did something wrong to another person. In other words, it is another way of saying “I am sorry”. So now I understand what it means when I hear “MY BAD!”
